1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Picotap does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. You can use all features of the app without identifying yourself.
1.2 Artwork and Local Data
All artwork you create, including pixel data, color palettes, and reference images, is stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers. You have full control over your artwork and can export, backup, or delete it at any time.
1.3 Usage Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used and identify areas for improvement. The following types of events are tracked:
- Feature usage (e.g., which tools are used most frequently)
- Canvas operations (e.g., canvas size changes)
- App settings preferences (e.g., theme selection)
- Session duration
Important: This analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. We do not collect any user identifiers, and the data cannot be linked to you personally.
1.4 Advertising
Picotap displays advertisements through Google AdMob. When you view ads, Google may collect information for ad delivery. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details. You can optionally watch rewarded video ads to unlock certain features.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not collect:
- Personal identifiable information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
- Location data
- Device identifiers (IMEI, UDID, etc.)
- Contact information
- Browsing history
- Photo metadata from imported reference images
- Biometric data
3. Permissions
Picotap requests the following permissions:
- Photo Library Access: To save your completed artwork to your photo library and to import reference images for tracing.
- Internet Access: Required for displaying ads and sending anonymous analytics data.
We do not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or calendar.
4. Data Storage and Security
All your artwork and app settings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage area. This data is not accessible by other apps and is protected by your device's security features.
We do not have access to your artwork or local data. The only data transmitted from the app is anonymous analytics events sent to Firebase and ad-related data sent to Google AdMob.
5. Your Rights and Control
You have full control over your data:
- Export: You can export all your artwork using the backup feature.
- Delete: You can delete individual artworks or all data at any time.
- Transfer: You can transfer your data to another device using the backup/restore feature.
6. Children's Privacy
Picotap is a general audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, there are no special concerns regarding children's data.
